September marks the final countdown to London Fashion Week SS11, and at the Trafalgar Hotel they’re already celebrating, with a new fashion-inspired cocktail menu
that is a perfect way to wind down after a day, whether you’ve been watching the shows at Somerset House or pounding the city streets for the hottest A/W looks. The Taste The Trends cocktail collection is inspired by three key trends for the current season, perfectly designed by the talented bartenders at the slick, sexy Rockwell bar (we love the glossy walnut wood, leather sofas and burlesque-y fringed lampshades). And at just £10, we think they’re a worthwhile, quaffable fashion indulgence!
Nude Lace blends white chocolate liqueur with a touch of coffee and a sexy tequila kick, served over crushed ice for an effect that actually looks not unlike your favourite, decadent nude-hued lace skivvies.
The Pretty Poetess – GLAMOUR.com’s favourite of the three cocktails – is a nod to this season’s bohemian looks: golden rum is flavoured with fresh citrus notes, Angostura bitters and cardamom, which lends it a smoky flavour and a decidedly dreamy, romantic, feel.
And The Girl In The Camel Coat is a warm, smooth tribute to our favourite camel and caramel looks for this autumn: Grand Marnier and chocolate, with another sharp hint of tequila.
And as if you needed any more persuasion – Trafalgar’s chef has designed a perfect asiette of sweet treats to complement the cocktails, featuring chocolate, hazelnut, and coconut flavours…a rich and delicious treat (we recommend sharing).
Taste The Trends will be available at the Rockwell Bar in The Trafalgar Hotel through September. In addition, the hotel will be hosting The Fashion Lounge on Monday, 20th September, with a pop up showroom featuring top independent designers, Aveda beauty bar, and style clinic in the afternoon, followed by a cocktail party at The Rockwell – featuring the Taste The Trends list, as well as designer presentations with live mannequins – in the evening.
